Could "((Passion+Talent) × Association × Action) Faith= Success" work in Ghana?

The co-author of the most revealing financial chronicle, Rich Dad, Poor Dad, Sharon Lechter  surprised Ghanaian Entrepreneurs and Business community when she told them "you do not need money to make money" at The MTN Business World Breakfast Meeting in Accra.

With her accounting background it is almost impossible to ask Sharon to embark on a financial literacy program without introducing an equation. But her equation is undoubtedly the easiest of all.

Christened the “Personal Success Equation” Sharon Lechter took patrons through an enthralling life changing process of ((Passion+Talent) × Association × Action) Faith= Success.

Her son, years ago had come crying for a bail out of a debt he had incurred in school and the answer to him was an emphatic no.

Sharon said that was the best decision ever taken but the most difficult. And since then, her passion to deliver people from the shackles of debt went soaring. That Passion partly led to the writing of Rich Dad, Poor Dad.

She mixed her passion with Talent which is her accounting background with the best ever Association which is getting married to her husband, they, together took an Action of Faith and now they are a successful, wealthy couple of International repute.

Sharon is inspired greatly by the teachings and principles of Napoleon Hill who authored the all famous Think and Grow Rich and she did not fail to remind the business executives of some of the famous Hill writings of the 1930s but which are all too relevant in 2012.

“95 per cent of money is in your mind,” she said, in tune with Hills’ famous quote whatever your mind can conceive and believe you can achieve.

But in all “spend less than you earn” she said to the business executives who sang along in harmony and who performed a little drill of how to get rid of the devil of doubts, fear on the left shoulder.

If you have those devils haunting your career just wipe them away on your left shoulder.

Sharon said Ghana is at the tipping point having been named as one of the fastest growing economy in the world and with the discovery of oil, each one must be educated on finances and seize the opportunity in the wealth explosion.
